IT’S NOT THE ENDA

In the world of online shopping, finding the perfect product can be quite a task. It is even more frustrating when you finally settle on a product, only to find out that the company is no longer in business. This is what happened to me when I went to buy some Enda shoes online yesterday. To my disappointment, I found out that the company had been bought out.

The company was initially based and started in Kenya by entrepreneur Navalayo Osembo-Ombati, after she gave up her job at the United Nations in New York. Kenyans are second to none (maybe Ethiopia) in the sport of running, so I knew that Enda shoes had to be on point.

I decided to purchase a pair to wear at my job as a deliveryman. Initially, I thought they were sporty enough to wear casually, but a voice inside my head said to put them to the test. I wore them every day and went out of my way to step in puddles, jump off the delivery truck, and even kick trays. Needless to say, they were amazing.

However, when I went back to purchase more, I found that the offerings were less than before. They didn’t have my size in any shoe that I wanted. It turned out that the company had been acquired by NVH Studios. I was skeptical at first, but upon further research, I learned that NVH Studios is a dynamic organization known for designing lifestyle-related shoes and brands. The CEO and Founder, Nana Baffour, is a Ghanaian brother who is making waves in the industry.

While I am sad to see Enda change hands, I am excited to see what the future holds for this brand. I can only hope that their new owner will continue to uphold the high standards that Enda has set and that their shoes will continue to be as great as they were before.
